“Wealth, like happiness, is never attained when sought after directly. It comes as a by product of providing a useful service.”
Known as the Captain of Industry and Business Magnate, Henry Ford was the founder of Ford Motor Company. He was also a developer of the Assembly line technique of Mass Production. More than any single individual, he was responsible for transforming the automobile from an invention of unknown utility to the innovation that we see today. According to HenryFord.org “Ford often took jobs because he didn’t know how to do them, and they were opportunities to learn.”
In the past 7 months of being a business owner, I have thought of this quote often because I am not attempting to attain just wealth, but providing a useful service. Being a Virtual Assistant is a service industry profession.
That is my main Why and the reason why I persist in my efforts to while not having clients still work on this business adventure every day. I push myself to provide the best customer experience, have the knowledge needed to ensure the work product is what was promised, and above. This is my reputation on the line. I simply refuse to fail, but if small failures do occur, as Mr. Ford suggested, I plan to begin again better for not letting it defeat me for good.
