And another one…..

And it’s another week in the books. I am grateful to do what I love at my 9-5 and my own business. But at what cost?

My days looks like this:

  • Get up at 6 am
  • Drop Kid off at 7:15 pm
  • Work 7:30-3:30 pm
  • Pick up Kid 3:45 pm
  • Take Kid to work 4:30 pm
  • Drive Home 5 pm
  • Work
  • Pick Up Kid from Work 9:30pm
  • Drive Home 10pm
  • Work
  • Midnight Sleep maybe

The kid is a senior in high school, has a great job and finds the time to hang with friends. I am always sort of available but am I missing out? Those are the questions, I as a parent ask myself every day while on this journey. I don’t want to miss a minute of the important or even the non-important stuff in her life. I am proud that she took the initiative to get a job, her senior year, and she has not complained not once about saving and paying bills. I am trying to show her rather than tell her how to be a responsible adult. I hope that she sees my sacrifice, tenacity, and persistence in working a full time job and running this business and is grateful as well as prepared to do the same for what she wants in life.

That’s why I am Wonder Woman in my OWN MIND!
